Loading...The Banks final came down to OnePocketSlim vs. Stub in a race to 8. Slim had sent Stub to the losers bracket earlier in the hot seat match, but Stub fought his way back by defeating Albinario in the losers final to earn the rematch.
In the championship match, Stub played steady, high-percentage pool, putting together a lot of solid 2–3 ball runs. Slim, by contrast, never quite found his rhythm. Stub closed it out 8–4.
Stub nearly made it all the way without getting muted—clearly the over. But as he tightened up near the finish line, the chirping picked up and a mute finally followed.
With this win, Stub becomes only the second player to capture a World Championship in both VP3 and VP4, joining Albinario.
